I hired McKnight Sons to remodel and renovate our family lake house. Built in the 1970’s it was adorned with 3 kinds of linoleum, shag carpet, dark wood paneling, popcorn ceilings, and an entire room and staircase falling off the back. Today it is unrecognizable, yet still retains its original character, nostalgia, and sense of home. Additions include an energy efficient sunroom, gorgeous master bedroom with custom closet, and expansive back deck with cable railing. Windows were replaced and upgraded to maximize the lake views and natural lighting. The previous tired exterior is now sleek and modern with a combination of limewashed brick, board and batten siding, cedar posts, lifetime shingles and metal roofing. High end fixtures, chandeliers, gorgeous glitzy Cambria counters, LED mirrors, and perfectly laid stone and tile make every room truly custom. My master bath is perfection with separate hair and makeup vanities, a rainfall shower, freestanding bath, and mermaid tile from floor to ceiling.
Numerous local builders scoffed at my project. One laughed at me, and another suggested bulldozing my beloved lake house full of memories. Thankfully, Zach was different and he listened attentively. When roadblocks came up and my imagination was too big for my budget he guided me through tough decisions with understanding, patience, and professionalism.
It became apparent when working with local vendors and his crew that I am not the only person who is truly appreciative of the kind, thoughtful, and respectful way Zach runs his business.
